House centipedes look alarming with their many legs, but they're mostly a sign of two things: excess moisture and other pests for them to hunt.
Flattened, yellowish-gray bodies with 15+ pairs of long legs and long antennae. Extremely fast, and most active at night in damp areas.
What attracts them: Moisture and the smaller insects they hunt — they thrive in damp basements, bathrooms, and crawl spaces that have other pest activity.
Frequent sightings usually mean an underlying moisture problem or another pest they're feeding on — we treat both.
